Attesta’s mark of approval is accredited for use by Standards Council of Canada and the International Accreditation Service which makes it eligible for recognition in every jurisdiction in Canada and the US.
Field Evaluation Marks
Canadian Field Evaluation Label (System)
This label indicates a product’s compliance with the CSA SPE-1000 Model Code and applies to the entire system.
A Field Evaluation is also known as a Special Inspection, and can be colloquially referred to as a “CSA Inspection”, “ESA Inspection”, or “Product Approval Inspection”.
Canadian Field Evaluation Label (Panel Only)
This label indicates compliance with the CSA SPE-1000 Model Code. The approval only applies to the control panel of the system it is applied to.
U.S. Field Evaluation Label
This labels indicates that a system meets the electrical safety requirements of the NFPA 790 Field Evaluation program.
Product Certification Marks
Canada / U.S. Certified Product
Applied to products that are approved in accordance with CSA, UL and NFPA standards.
Hazardous Location Equipment Approval
Applied to approved products and equipment that are certified to the correct CSA and/or UL standards for use in Hazardous Locations.
Functional Safety Equipment Approval
Applied to approved products and equipment that are certified to the correct CSA, UL and ISO standards for Functional Safety.

Listing Certification Marks
Products with the LISTED mark signify a mark licensing agreement between the manufacturer and Attesta.
Canada / U.S. Listed Product
Applied to products that are approved in accordance with CSA, UL and NFPA standards under a mark licensing agreement.
Hazardous Location Listed Equipment
Applied to approved products and equipment that are certified to the correct CSA and/or UL standards for use in Hazardous Location under a mark licensing agreement.
Functional Safety Listed Equipment
Applied to approved products and equipment that are certified to the correct CSA, UL and IEC standards for Functional Safety under a mark licensing agreement.
